“African Americans in Georgia have faced numerous challenges during this global pandemic. From incidents of police brutality, to the attack on its Black voters and Black grassroots organizers who have been paving the way for voting rights for decades. The Georgia NAACP is committed to leading the charge on democracy by pushing back against the tactics of White Supremacy. We are just getting started.”

Last year, Ahmaud Arbery was murdered while jogging near Brunswick, Georgia. We remain committed  to honoring his life and legacy through our support of HB 479 – a bill cited in light of Ahmaud Arbery’s senseless death that would repeal the current citizen’s arrest law from 1863.

PROTECT THE BLACK VOTE - IT WILL NOT BE BUSINESS AS USUAL

SINCE 2018, Georgia’s corporations have donated thousands of dollars to co–sponsor GOP-led legislation that will threaten its Black, brown, young voters, and the economy. As we face one the worst attacks on voting rights since Reconstruction, the Georgia NAACP is committed to pushing back against corporations who support voter suppression in Georgia.
